Alison came into my life as an amazing, caring and supportive childminder to Liz, at a time when we moved from Scotland to Kent and I had no surrounding family or friends. Her warmth and laughter at the end of a bad working day cheered me up as she was a fabulous listener. She also never forgot to bring a little treat for my cats when she became their cat sitter. They all loved her too.
Heaven has gained a special angel. My condolences to Susanna; your Mum was very proud of you.

Dear Alison
Warm, friendly, caring, loving, thoughtful, gentle, giggly, happy, funny, smiley.
I'm so glad I met you and that we became friends. You made Holbrook high school such a happy and fun time and we had a friendship that lasted through the years.
You have left a piece of you forever in my heart with your warmth and kindness and I will never forget you. A very dear friend, I will miss you so much.
Love as always, Shirley xx

Alison was gentle, thoughtful, sensitive and fun to be with. But what always amazed me was her memory to recall names, dates going back in her nurseing career and the life we shared. She was part of a group of nurses called the West end girls we have met every year for over 30 years. And they were the best of times. Alison will always be part of that. Amanda
