On 27th July 2021, Mike died at his home in Horbury, aged 70 years, Mike, very much loved husband of Mary, loving step-father of Sarah, a dear brother in law and uncle. Greatly respected by all who knew him.
A private funeral will take place on Tuesday 17 August, following this his family and all his many friends are invited to celebrate his life and achievements at The West Riding from 2pm.
Donations in his memory may be made online, placed in the collection boxes or sent to George Brooke Ltd., Funeral Directors for the benefit of Action for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (The British Lung Foundation).

Mike was my best mate at University and a friend all my life. He introduced me to Yorkshire cricket, Rugby League and real ale. RIP, my dear friend, you will be greatly missed.

Mike was an excellent insolvency practitioner, accountant and business man apart from his skill in running real ale pubs. He was compassionate and acted with integrity in everything he did. Hugely popular, erudite and with a great sense of humour. One could even forgive his love of Man Utd! The world is a poorer place without him.
