In loving memory of Joan Foyle who sadly passed away in Oakdene Care Home on 29th July 2021. Joan was such a caring person throughout her career in Nursing and then as a Practice Manager for the Doctors in West Moors. She was a good Mother and wife, and looked after her husband Douglas when he became ill. After he passed in 1993 she was content being at home alone. She had a number of friends, family and ex work colleagues that used to pop in for a coffee and chat, and she spent hours on the phone keeping in touch with those that were further afield. Sadly illness took over her body and progressively her health deteriorated. She fought increasing pain and disability to stay at home as long as possible but never once complained, and with the help of excellent home care she remained until April 2021. She was comfortable and happy for the final few months of her life at Oakdene, and she passed peacefully in her sleep. RIP Mum.

Joan was a Salvation Army adherent and enjoyed attending services at Verwood. She made friends and took great comfort from them. Long may they continue their excellent work.
