In loving memory of David Brighton who passed away peacefully at his home on 26th July 2021 aged 95.
He will be sadly missed by all his family, especially his wife Freda and sons Hugh and Neil.
David had a very successful career in the Defence Industry working at Short Brothers Rochester, Fort Halstead and The Royal Arsenal, Woolwich. He retired in 1986 having reached the position of Director General.
His main interests outside work were classical music including opera and ballet, history and architecture.
He worked primarily in the field of Quality Assurance and this also transferred to his home life where he always tried to ensure everything was ‘just right’.

A good man, well respected and well remembered. One of his lasting legacies will be the continuing heritage buildings preserved at the Royal Arsenal Woolwich for which he did so much while working there and later with his RAMAG work.
