In loving memory of Mick Guest who sadly passed away on 29th June 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Mick (Dad) was a kind, generous and lovely man who will be sadly missed by everyone. He was a dad, grandad, brother, uncle, husband, cousin and dear friend to many.

He loved football and followed Liverpool FC and England.

We love you, we miss you, rest in paradise dad..

Chris Guest donated £100 in memory of Mick

I am making this donation on behalf of my dad to say thankyou for all the care and support and hard work that woking hospice did for him in his last few weeks. Also a massive thankyou from his family to the hospice aswell, they were amazing each and every day and never stopped working hard or caring towards the end. He will be missed by everyone and his presence lives on through all of us.

I met Mick when he was about 15 - we were in a work party who had gone to clean our old youth group coach out before it took us on our YP holiday. I was really shy at the time, but He and Charlie, being a little younger than me, brought me out of my shell and made me laugh so much. From that time on, we were always firm friends, and I lost my shyness almost completely. So, in his onw way, Mick changed my life.

Back in those
unencumbered days,
when we were young,
and all was play,
you laughed and loved
and worshipped Him
Who brought you through
the later years
and held your hand
through trials and tears.

And now, you take
your rest in Him,
and we are sad
and weep, but then,
within God’s time,
when our lives end,
we’ll laugh once more
with you, old friend.

See you again, Mick.

I could fill this with memories from chess to motorbikes, through lives lost and found, to fivers exchanged, to things remembered by him, and not by me, and tin-pot snooker 'tournaments' on his 3 foot table. Most recently the courage he showed in his illness. My great mate.
