Laurie was a legend at Four Elms CC. He was a great entertainer on and off the pitch. He had time for everyone and was universally liked.
Those of us who played with him and knew him have many fond memories of match winning performances, bygone tours, cards in the bar when it rained and above all a cheeky grin comecwhat may.
On behalf of the club our thoughts will very much be with you on Friday.

More memories of our holiday in Turkey! Thank you Laurie for being my best mate for over 50 years and all the happy memories of the times we shared together. You will never be forgotten.
This was a great golfing holiday to Turkey and you will be sadly missed by all your golfing mates at Dale Hill especially your wicked sense of humour!
