In 1991 the love of her life, Lesley passed away. She had nursed him through a long period of ill health and for some years had dedicated herself to making his life as comfortable as possible. Despite their ups and downs, they enjoyed 46 years of happy marriage.
In 2000 Hazel moved from her family home to Catherine Court in Erdington, where she settled into a safe and secure home, making lots of new friends and discovering new adventures. Hazel was very happy at Catherine Court and popular amongst the other residents and wardens.
Hazel was blessed with 7 Great Grandchildren: James and Scarlett, Sophia, Bethany, Molly, Brook and Darcy. She enjoyed precious moments with all of them.
