Mother......Never been happy unless you are causing trouble.......Now look what you've gone and done. Ive never hurt so much in my life as I did that Saturday morning when you became an angel and the brightest star in the sky. Life isn't going to be easy but im going to look after dad and your dear grandchildren. Its the least I can do for you mom. I love and miss you so much.......Your son Marc.

Rest in peace Nan. No more undeserved suffering or pain. You went through the bravest battle, yet still managed to lighten everyone's day and somehow keep us all smiling. Your my inspiration and you've taught me such valuable things. You constantly looked out for me and the rest of the family and looked after us all so well and you will be dearly missed. Our memories are what will be treasured forever and never forgotten. I miss and love you so much, sleep tight angel xxxx

As we were driving into Paignton, our holiday destination, my eldest Grand Daughter Nicola said, look Nan & Grandad there,s a PINK LIMO, as in stretch limo. There was a short silence & Carol quite innocently said, whats a PIGLIMO. We howled.

My darling Carol, i miss you so much. You were without any doubt the strongest & bravest person i have ever known. Throughout the last few months you showed bravery & dignity without complaint. You never mentioned the inevitable & always talked of getting better right up to the end. You never lost your sense of humour or the occasional glare of disapproval or sharp rebuke, as one or two of the district nurses can vouch for. Despite this they absolutely adored you, as did i & the rest of your loving family. All the pain has gone now so sleep tight until we meet again. I love you Carol.
