In loving memory of Brian William Purser who sadly passed away following a short illness on 21st June 2021.

Brians passing has left a huge hole in the lives of those who knew and loved him. His wife Gloria to whom he was married for 52 years, sons Wayne & Damian, daughter in law’s Wendy and Liz, grand daughters Charlotte and Amy and not forgetting grand dogs Zandra and Brian’s best pal Roscoe.

Brian was a well liked character who had many friends, many of whom he met when frequenting either the Canvey Island British Legion or Conservative Club. Not forgetting those work colleagues at Ford (Fiat) tractor plant.

All those who knew Brian are welcome to attend Basildon & Pitsea Crematorium on Thursday 22nd July at 11.30am and then afterwards at the Canvey Island Conservative Club where we will raise a glass in his honour. He will certainly be looking down and raising a glass back at everyone too.

It was Brian’s request that NO FLOWERS be bought. Using his words "They only get put in an incinerator after everyone has gone, so don't waste your money".
Instead he requested that should people wish to do so then a donation to either Cancer Research or Ronald Mc Donald House children's charity be made. Both these charities of have featured widely across our extended family.

If you wish to leave a message of condolence here, please feel free to do so. The family would also appreciate any “flower substitute” donations being made in memory of Brian.

Rest in piece Uncle Brian. Gone to soon like Uncle Barry & Jim but I hope the three of you are all joking together up there and enjoying a beer or two.

Wonderful holiday in Turkey with Mum and Dad. Dad got a better tan than Liz and he spent most of his time in the shade, Liz was not jealous even though she spent the whole basking in the sun….never thought you could go darker than mahogany!!!!
