Geraldine Gwendoline Ravenhill 09/07/1931 to 10/06/2021

We are sad to announce the death of our much-loved Mum and Grandma JamJar Geri Ravenhill (nee Davis). She was a month shy of her 90th birthday.
She passed away peacefully at our family home, Dover, in the loving presence of her three daughters (Ann, Nicky and Elisabeth.)
Geri was a passionate, caring and inspiring French Teacher/ Head of Year at Astor Secondary School, Dover. She touched so many lives.
She joins her amazing husband, John Ravenhill, who died of Alzheimer’s in 2017 who was an admired Art Lecturer.
They were both born in London and moved down to Kent in the early 60s to create a wonderful life for their family.
She was one of a kind and will live in our memories forever.
Her loving family.

Due to current conditions Mum’s funeral will be private. Therefore, instead of flowers Mum would have liked a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Dearest Jamjar,
Thank you for being such an incredible and loving grandma, you always made us feel so loved and encouraged us to live life to the full! I will never forget all our camping adventures, our twinkly christmases and of course the special trip to India. What an inspiration you are, a beautiful and bold woman, I feel very lucky to part of your family. Wishing you and grandpa a peaceful and beautiful resting place together, we love you both very much xxxxx

Mrs Ravenhill was my French teacher at school, and Mr Ravenhill was my art lecturer at college. Such amazing people, I will always cherish the faith Mrs Ravenhill had choosing me to attempt the first ever GCSE advanced oral exam, and coaching me through the entire experience, in her no nonsense and fun loving way. I will always smile at the memory of seeing her zooming about in their motorhome. I do hope they are enjoying amazing adventures together now. X

An amazing teacher whom I'm proud to have known during my school days at Astor. We often spoke at Capel farmers market and she'd always remember my name. RIP Geri x
