Mammar Polly, its difficult to find the words, particularly when I still expect to see you sat on the sofa, or better still, on row 11 down the match.

There were many things you taught me; the importance of loyalty, kindness to animals, generosity, adjectives for referees and that toast should never be eaten without lurpak.

I have so many happy memories that I look forward to reflecting on and talking about forever more.

You really was a great role model and I’ll always be very proud to call you my Mammar.

‘Ay up Stevo duck’

Was the greeting of choice always delivered with Pollys warmth, smile and sparkly eyes.

Some how this sums Polly up. A person that always put others first, the ability to put you at ease and feel welcome. This was always perfectly balanced with her passion for supporting Nottingham Forest and her utter devotion, loyalty and love for Keith and all her ever increasing flock.

An inspiration to us all

Love Paul ‘Stevo’

Polly, the lady that welcomed me in as I turned up on the doorstep looking for Katherine as you were literally moving in that day 25 years ago and made me feel welcome every since.
The holidays, boxing days, Halloween’s, parties and just the random days sitting chilling watching films. Thinking back on those memories these last few weeks has brought tears to my eyes but more importantly it’s brought joy and love to my heart. It’s been an honour and pleasure to have been a part of it all and more importantly to have shared those with you. Thank you. Xxxxxx

Well I wasn’t going to say ought POL, I said it to you on the 13th in that small room.
Like I said a walk down memory lane, when we first met Halloween night and all the stuff about don’t look in the mirror, of the car we where in, or we would spend the rest of our life together, well it happened , and we did, that was the witch coming out.
A trip to France , on a overnight channel crossing, and you advising that French couple how good French onion soup was. Another funny memory of our lot who we went with , after saying they could speak French , coming out a shop with a stone of figs
We had a lot of laughs, even converting sadness into a laugh , usually a daft joke.
Even when we saw the heart specialist , when he explained in graphic details what he was going to do to you and our explicit response, and I remember saying no chance of tablets then.
Lots of Steam train journeys which was great, very nearly being left on Leeds station cos of a mad rush to the toilet, no one was allowed to use the train one
Laughing when we went to see blaster bates, I spent the rest of evening explaining what he meant.
So many trips watching forest home and away, many trips abroad before Christmas
We even had many laughs during the last difficult 3years, which I know you found very difficult, singing in the night when it was going to be an allnighter
Like I said to you on that horrible Sunday when you left us all , sunshine corner will be the place youll go
Love you lots miss you Keith.

Where do we begin. So very many happy memories of our beautiful neighbour and friend. You could never have a quiet drink in the garden without me hearing you and inviting myself round. You introduced me to brandy and rumtoft and I've not looked back since. You were the queen of buying beautiful birthday and Christmas presents for our kids. Always so much thought going into it. I still chuckle at the stories of the za za card machine on your holidays. The list really is endless Pol. Rest in peace my lovely. You will always stay in our hearts and you will live on in keith and all your beautiful family.
Much love, Mel and Jeff xxxx
