In loving memory of Wladyslaw "Walter" Twarzowski who sadly passed away on 26th May 2021.
Walter was born in Poland. He and his family were taken by the Russians, to the salt mines in Siberia, after the second World War. Here Walter was split from his family, at a very young age.
After their release, Walter travelled down to Tehran in Iran. It is here where he was reunited with his family. They moved on to Rhodesia, and South Africa, before coming to settle in England. By now Walter was a young teenager.
They settled in Nottingham, and Walter never moved away. He met his wife, Irene whilst going to church in the city. They got married and bought their home in Ruddington Lane, Wilford. Where they both lived for the rest of their lives.
Walter had many jobs working as a mechanic, driver, baker, production operative to name a few.
Walters hobbies included stamp collecting, coin collecting, gardening, antique auctions, and buying a lot of stuff out of magazines. Which if he didn't like, he would pass on to friends and family as gifts.
Sadly in 2007, Irene passed away. Walter adored her, and was heartbroken.
Walter and Irene never had any children, but Walter use to call his second cousin Julian, his son, and Catherine, his daughter.
Catherine has a daughter, who would call Walter Grandad, which of course he loved.
Walter always wanted to die at home, and he sadly got his wish on the 26th of May, in the presence of a wonderful lady from Nottingham Hospice, who would sit with Walter through the night.

Dear Walter..
I was very honoured to have met and known you in the short time that I did!
I always looked forward to our lunches at Trent bridge and of course doing some DIY for you.
I loved how you treated and adored Harriet (princess) as your own granddaughter..she always got excited coming to see you.
I feel happy that you are now reunited with your love Irene.
Always in our thoughts
