In loving memory of Robert John 'Bob' Parker who sadly passed away on 30th May 2021. He joined the London Ambulance service in 1971 on the accident and emergency vehicles and left in 1979 when he joined The Royal Parks Constabulary which eventually became part of the Metropolitan Police where he became Sergeant and was part of the search team dealing with anti terrorism and then moved to be an events planner, a role which he thoroughly enjoyed. He retired in 2009 after which he concentrated on his hobby of restoring his vintage motorcycles. He had several other interests including writing novels of which two were published. He enjoyed the company of others among freemasonry, Canvey Dining Club and was District Warden of his local church. Always made himself available to anyone who was in need of help. His intention was to make someone’s life a little happier just by phoning them or meeting them in the street and exchanging funny stories.

He enjoyed being with his family and was always interested in what they were doing. We shall miss his humour and wit and his genuine concern for others.

Please feel free to share your memories of him.

I met Bob on my first day in The Job. He made me laugh and put me at ease. That continued every single time I met him.
He was one of the best and will be much missed.

When you deal with difficult personal problems of others it causes a great deal of stress. Sometimes the problem has to be shared with someone you can trust not to talk about the problems of others. Bob was one of the only persons I knew who was such a person Kind Sensitive intelligent trustworthy and always supportive. An individual who I trusted implicitly with many details of others who needed help. He would always be there as a trusted support. No proper words can describe the assistance he would give to others with confidence.
A True Gentleman Brother and to myself a true friend I will sadly miss.
God Bless You
Bob
