Three years have passed Grandad since you went to sleep, it seems like yesterday. I miss you today, I miss you everyday. I think of you and wonder what it would’ve been like if you hadn’t gotten ill, what you and Nanna would’ve been doing… it’s so hard without you, not seeing you, not hearing your voice, but I’m glad you’re no longer suffering from that awful illness. It hurts today as much as it did that day we lost you, I’ll never forget you, I love you. Your Nicky xx ♥️

The memories of you I treasure
So precious and so dear
Grandad you meant the world to me
I wish you were still here
The sadness is relentless
Nothing can ease the pain
