In loving memory of Judith Dixon who sadly passed away on 9th May 2021

There is so much to say about my lovely wife, Judy. I could fill a book but there is so little time. My eldest grandson’s wife Lauren captured much of what I would want to say in this beautiful and inspired piece of writing.

‘Judith’ by Lauren Dixon

As we enter God’s final chapter of a life He prepares the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Her life embodies the joy of being in the moment wherever that may be
A vineyard in France; the kitchen with a newspaper;
John Lewis; Raffles in Singapore;
The back garden with her great grandchildren.
She passes on numerous gifts to her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
But to name a few:
Resilience; Unwavering faith; Intelligence;
Kind Honesty; Strength; Class and a love of Champagne.
So when you’re feeling low.
She has stepped into the arms of her saviour whom she has loved her whole life.
But she is still in her families’ smiles.
She’s there when they stand up for what is right.
She’s there in kind honesty.
Think of her when the radiators are on high.
Think of her when you see a new part of the Earth.
Think of her when the sun is on your skin on a warm day.
Think of her when you eat something you love,
And most of all, think of her when you see the beauty of her legacy in someone she loved.
Amen

From Joan and John Baker

Judy was a neighbour who became a friend. A friend who became a very good friend, as did her husband Keith. Good friends with whom we enjoyed lunches out and many happy evenings in each other's homes. My main memories of Judy are twofold. Firstly her love for, and her absolute pride in her family, and secondly our shared enjoyment in a kir royale as we exchanged the latest news of our respective families. I won't ever drink a kir royale without thinking of these happy times. We will miss her greatly.
