This generation donation comes courtesy of John Yelland and family, Elizabeth Bladon and Jean Bell who very kindly passed on some cash donations to our family. They enjoyed a marvellous celebration of David's life today. HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE!

In loving memory of David John Tebbett who passed away on 5th May 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
David, born on 27th April 1939, lost his life at the age of 82 after battling industrial disease mesothelioma for nearly two years. This cancer was caused by exposure to asbestos during his working life as an electrical engineer.
David led a full, happy, and fulfilled life. He was married to June for 61 years and had two daughters, Yvonne and Jill, and three grandsons, Luca, Matteo and Sam.
He lived his dreams. In 1972 he built the UK's first wide-beam hotel boat in his hometown of Burton-on-Trent. Tranquil Rose is still a hotel boat, though now based in London. David's final holiday in 2020 was spent aboard Tranquil Rose.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, wit and raconteur, who entertained all those who knew him with his wonderful stories. His dry sense of humour made his family smile. Every day.
A lifelong football fan, he followed his home team, Burton Albion. At one time he served the club by organising away coach bookings.
He also loved to dance and, until illness struck, went ballroom dancing every week with June, the love of his life. They met at the age of 15.
A private service will be held at Bretby Crematorium on 25th May at 11.15am to celebrate David's life.
The service will be live streamed. Please follow this link to join the celebration of David's life: https://www.wesleymedia.co.uk/webcast-view Login/Order ID 95350 Password: yvkuwbbn

The support of nurses and carers enabled David to spend his final days with the people he loved. Please go to the Just Giving link to donate to St Giles.
