Our dearest Granny Fred, a lady with a heart full of gold and everlasting love! As a young girl living out in Australia, you would light up my world each time you came to visit. Everyone knows how special it is to have a grandparent and the times I spent with you when I was just a child will always be with me. From those big warm hugs at the airport to dancing around our lounge room to funny music! One of my favourite (and funniest) memories is the time you got knee deep stuck in mud in our back garden by the close line. You lost your shoes in the mud and the next day Dad and Papa Pete had to dig them up! We shared so many special memories! The cats, the many cups of tea, tea and biscuits after school, eggy bread, you rocking your hair rollers, pointing out your (toy boys) from the newspapers! The list goes on, but these are some of my favourites! I’m going to miss you so much and will always remember you as Granny Fred xxxxx

You were a dearly loved mother in law and Grand mother. Affectionately known as Fred or Granny Fred. A second mum to me. You created special bonds with us all, we miss you so much. That beautiful caring smile, that radiated love and kindness through your lovely eyes at the same time. We cherish all the happy times, funny times and much more, treasured memories that we will hold dear to our hearts. As already said all the egg and chips, Sunday roasts and eggy bread that we all loved. Parties at the cottage and in Australia and much more. I think of you often, and see you in the garden that you loved so much, or with a grandchild cuddled up on your knee often with a cat at the same time, happy conversations on the garden swing chair and looking out of the cottage window in the kitchen. So many happy thoughts, you were a very special lady and I thank you for everything you did over the years. Lots of love my lovely Fred , love Sal xxxx❤️

Grandma, you were marvellous, magical and a little bit mad and I loved you for it. It feels strange knowing that you have gone. I have so many happy memories of you and so much to thank you for. Thank you for letting me in to your lovely family, for all the chocolate biscuits, for the times sat on your knee, for the times you made me laugh and the times you made everything okay. Rest well., Granny Fred. X

Been trying to think of what to write, it’s so hard, there’s so much, so many wonderful memories, but I know I was so lucky to have you as my mum, I had a wonderful childhood and you were always so welcoming to friends. Your support throughout my life was phenomenal! I can’t pick favourite memories there’s so many. I hope you are with your lovely mum Ida May, who you missed so much. I hope my children think of me the way I do you, then I know I’ve done a good job x love you so much Mum ❤️

Remembering all the good times with my kind, caring mother in law. Thank you Ruth for all the laughs, the egg and chips, the Sunday roasts and the family times. My lasting memory is of you sitting on the swing chair in the cottage garden laughing at the antics of your grandchildren.
