Dear Richard,

We are thinking of you. Sandra first met you in 1978, and holidays too with your family. A very special person with such a likeable character. Always affectionate, and loved to meet everyone as well as bidding them goodbye, no one would be missed! A very caring fellow. A hand-shake or a hug when greeting you or on a departure. He enriched our lives with his presence.

We recall you singing with your dear mother on your 50th birthday at Cheque-Mates. The raffle will never be the same and neither will the takings be if it was not for your input.

Love to you Richard untill we all meet again. Remembering you.
Sandra and Tim RobinsonXX

Richard was one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met! He loved shaking peoples hands when he met them, he’s probably shook more hands than anyone else I know! I found Richard to be a very peaceful man.
I enjoyed many many enjoyable moments with Richard and had many laughs with him, he loved a laugh! He enjoyed his life right up to the end of it despite his health difficulties!
I could say much more, but most importantly I thank Jesus for the Love we shared with Richard!

  • Francesca, your love for Richard was from a tiny baby you watched him grow into a lovely man but he was always that bundle of love. Your constant love and care for him over the years will always be remembered by me and Netty and Ed but mostly by Richard.Thank you so much for all you did for him.Evexx

  • Such lovely words Fran. We know he was family to you too. He was a monkey at times, but he was our monkey. Truly one of a kind. I read this today and thought it was apt:

Dear Richard a true gentleman with a mischievous sense of humour. I have so many wonderful memories of you. Times when you showed absolute delight when encountering animals on trips to the zoo or farm and we would laugh together, or simply meeting a cat or dog on our trips out and having to stop to see them. Your enjoyment of a pint down the pub or a coffee in the cafe. Your love of all kinds of music and particularly when we sang worship songs together at Lighthouse. Mostly I remember your love of people, wherever you were you reached out to those you met with a smile and outstretched hands to shake their hand, and for those you knew and who were fortunate to know you, your arms would be opened wide to give them a hug.
You will be sorely missed here on earth but I know Jesus has welcomed you with His outstretched arms into your Heavenly Home ❤️X

Richard I enjoyed many years of sharing my life with you, my friend, companion and housemate.
You were kind and funny and I have many happy memories, especially of how you always grabbed my hand to say goodnight before you went to bed.
As you became poorly, I was always happy to be able to help you, even giving up my room, for which I am really proud, and I know you were really grateful.
I will always remember you and am making a little garden in memory of you.
Goodbye my lovely friend, we all miss you.

Richard you will always be in my heart what a blessing you have been to me and all your family and friends. I will always remember our special song we used to sing and sign together.
"Your'e in my heart your'e in my soul, you are my breath should I grow old, you are my love your'e my best friend, your'e in my soul". We used to sign this song by Rod Stewart together
often and loved it when we heard it on the radio and could share it as our special song.Your life has been an inspiration to us all.May you rest safe with our loving Saviour Jesus Christ.Mumxx
