In loving memory of Glynis Foulger 'Glyn' who sadly passed away on 23rd April 2021. Glyn really was an extraordinary person. At the age of seven she was preparing and cooking her own lunch while her parents were at work. She was a very accomplished cook, loved baking and experimenting with making dishes more enjoyable by subtle additions and stylish presentation. Her father was a perfectionist when it came to decorating and following his lead from an early age became a competent decorator, painting and wallpapering. Her mother was a seamstress and the skills of sewing and knitting were skills she acquired and developed and at the end her craft room was a joy to visit for any crafter. She always wanted to be an engineer but never had the opportunity but she carried precision into all aspects of her life. Glyn had a wonderful eye for flowers, gardening and garden design. She read many books on gardening and could usually identify a flower in a garden. You may think that this lovely person would be arrogant with her skill sets but no. She was one of the warmest friendliest people you would ever want to meet. She would always help and give advice without being condescending. If you told her a secret it stayed a secret. She was a loyal and wonderful wife, mother and granny. Married to a career soldier whose job often meant short notice changes of location, she enjoyed several years in Cyprus and Germany frequently moving house and always able to cope, sometimes on her own with Jason and Simone. She will be missed by many but never forgotten. A truly wonderful, wonderful lady who I had the honour and pleasure to call my wife for 56 years.
