In loving memory of Edward Paterson who sadly passed away on 20th April 2021

Edward was a fantastic man who deeply cared for friends and family . If anyone was in a bad situation then he would always be there to help in any way possible.

Family, friends and football were the three big aspects of his life and nothing would make him happier than being with his loved ones and watching his beloved Glasgow Rangers win .

Those who knew Edward were well aware of his wonderful stories and tales . Please feel free to share your memories and any pictures of him on here .

Thanks

I cant believe its been a week seen you have passed away Grandad. I truly miss you however i will always have the best memories of family caravan holidays, teaching me how to play cards even if you did cheat lol. Always being there for me whenever need you also reminding me not to go with celtic supports lol
Rebecca is absolutely gutted you have gone however she will remember you mostly for making her laugh all time, being so generous to her and obviously no other team matters than rangers, no fish on a friday either.
You truly were simple the best
Love and miss you millions xxxx

I first had the pleasure of meeting Eddie when he came to work at the G11/12 Royal Mail delivery office as a postman/ driver. I had just came onto the driving as nervous 20 yr old but I took to Eddie immediately due to his infectious personality and patter and although I didn`t notice at the time but do now looking back, I now realise he looked after/out for me and for that I`m eternally grateful. Rest in Peace Eddie...........and the pleasure was all mine ..

So I met Eddie through my finance Anne rae and every time i was with him in the old hayburn pub In Partick was a good time .

One time in particular being a big rangers fan my self the same as Eddie, Eddie wasn't convinced we would win the league that year and I decided to have a little bet with him that we would, just as I predicted we won the league this year since that time I have tried to give him the chance to win against me but he was convinced he was jinxed against me even when it was not possible for me to win

The man was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed but one thing that I know he will be smiling about is seeing his beloved Teddy bears wining 55 and now can celebrate with his pal John rae

Eddie you will be missed

Once Eddie and Mary took my mum dad and I to Ayr. He was so sure of the way there. He went past Ibrox Stadium about 4 times. It was so funny. Starting to think he meant it now. He has been a great friend to my mum and dad, and when my dad passed away Eddie was there for my mum along with Mary to make sure she was OK and my sister and I will never forget tie support we all received. We will all miss you terrible Eddie. I hope your having your long awaited pint with my dad xx
