In loving memory of Tony Carlsen who sadly passed away on 12th April 2021.

Tony was the loving husband of Eileen Carlsen, father to Julie and Paul and grandfather to Arne.
He was also uncle to many nieces and nephews and was close to so many of them.

Tony spent much of his life living in East London but after leaving school, he spent time in the Merchant Navy where he travelled the world and also spent some time like many of his era, in the National Service.

Eileen was the love of Tony's life and they married in 1958 and with Julie and Paul, they spent many happy years as a family in London. With memorable family holidays to Bournemouth and Cornwall and time always focused on their extended family and their many friends, life was very happy. Tony worked as Salesman for various organisations and had many a fun story to tell of his working life and we all enjoyed his little tales.

Tony and Eileen retired to Leigh on Sea in 1995 and built lots of new friendships and hosted many a family occasion in the garden they had longed for. Sadly Julie passed away in 2005 and Arne's arrival shone a little light back into their lives when he was born in 2007. He was the apple of their eyes.

Tony looked after Eileen with great care when she became ill but sadly she passed away in 2016. Whilst another light went out in his life when Eileen passed, Tony found many things to occupy him such as Westerns, wine making, reading and crosswords plus he enjoyed the many cakes that were delivered to his door by his neighbours, friends and family.

We will miss Tony immensely.
