For the most loveable ‘idiot’ we’ve ever known

Paul Neil O’Brien incessantly bleated on about the world ending. Unfortunately, on Sunday the 11th of April, for most of us reading this, he was right, with his own unique twist of course, but right, nonetheless. ‘Baldy’ always hated to be wrong.

His impetuous charisma, razor sharp wit and devilish charm, enthralled and captivated all that came into contact with the hurricane that was his life.

He had a bold and brazen grin that would bring joy to your day. Ironic, since the majority of his teeth were not actually his own!

He had amassed vocabulary that would make a sailor blush, and best of all, a sense of humour that could bring a smirk to even the Mona Lisa’s face

Through the children, family and friends that Paul has left behind, his memories will live on, but I’m sure we all know, most of which would not appropriate to be retold!

We will celebrate his life on Wednesday, 5th May, family flowers only, but if you would like to make a donation to sponsor Paul’s youngest son, who is doing a charity cycle in the hopes of raising money for the Pilgrims Hospice, please click the link below. Their support has been invaluable to Paul and his family during this very difficult time.

A privilege to know and love you Baldos.
A unique soul that I had the pleasure of sharing a couple of years of my life with. You drove me to distraction most of the time, (I'm sure my grey hair growth accelerated then). You certainly taught me a lot about myself and unconditional love.
I will remember the dancing, niceness, backgammon and the best hugs.
Love you forever Paul. See you when I get there
(or maybe before) Lisa.❤️x

Paul I will always remember you as a loveable, cheeky, (in the nicest way), mischievious little boy and young man, with a massive contagious grin that enables you to get away with almost anything. Unfortunately I did not get to see you in your later years but imagine you wouldn't have changed much. You were well loved by everyone who ever met you. You may have gone too soon Paul but you will never be forgotten. Fly high with your Angel wings, love you lots, Auntie Pauline. xx
