In loving memory of Colin David Hall who sadly passed away on 3rd April 2021. He lived life to the full and on his journey he touched many hearts .He was a loving father and Grandad and will be sadly missed .
He had many hobbies and loved singing with the Bach Choir. He also loved football and after playing himself, became a referee. As he got older he began to support a local team called White Ensign and spent many years cheering them on , on a Saturday afternoon. We have chosen them as one of his charities .
No flowers please but if you would like to send in some Quality Street or Nestle chocolates with a message instead, we will then donate them to a local food bank.(Etsy do Nestle chocolate bouquets)

Always living his life to the full, Colin, and his wife Jean, came forward to learn to ring in 1986 straight after the bells at St Laurence, Eastwood were installed and were always the most keen and reliable members of the band, right up to late 2019 when ill-health obliged him to stand back. His 'smiley' face and personality will be fondly missed.

Colin was a member of the Southend Bach Choir for over 55 years as a valued member of our Tenor section. Each Tuesday as we rehearsed, and during our concerts, he always gave his all and took great enjoyment from a good hearty sing. While he found it difficult in the latter years to fully embrace his joy of singing, he still did what he could and his commitment to and enthusiasm for the choir never wavered. He also enjoyed the social aspect of the choir and his approach to life spilled over to others he came into contact with.

During one of our recent virtual rehearsals, it was an honour and pleasure dedicating the singing of the Verdi Requiem to his life and commitment to our choir. He will certainly be missed by all in the choir but especially by his fellow Tenors.

I’m sure Colin will now be singing in a heavenly choir – their gain but our loss. We’ll miss you Colin.
