Funeral Director
In loving memory of Jayne Elizabeth White who sadly passed away on 10th April 2021.
Jayne was the perfect example of selfless.
A perfect Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Companion and Mother-in-law as well as a special friend to so many, who never once said 'no'.
If it wasn't helping, listening or creating, Jayne was most likely feeding people. We'll never forget those perfect roast potatoes or the floods of well-wishes from so many ex. colleagues who unanimously mention Jayne's cooking treats... that is so Jayne!
She left her mark with whoever she met, including all her wonderful friends at Heart of Kent Hospice who helped to reassure, make comfortable and accommodate Jayne in her final care. These people truly are 'earths angels' which we; Jayne's family cannot be thankful enough.
We would like to ask for donations to the Hospice that cared for Jane using the link on this page, not only to say thank you on behalf of Jayne and the family but equally to sponsor Nancy in her daring promise to her mum, that she would abseil down the Portsmouth Spinnaker Tower. Something that Jayne wanted to do herself; Nancy (who is afraid of heights above 6ft) suggested, and somewhat regretted, that she would do it in memory of Jayne whilst raising money for the hospice. Jayne didn't say 'no don't be silly' - she said "that'll be so lovely thank you so much!" so, it looks like Nancy has no choice. Thankfully as support, Amber (Jayne's eldest grandaughter who is 14) has put herself forward too, so Nancy won't be alone at 170 metres! Let's make it worthwhile and raise some money. Jayne battled a lung disease amongst other complications for longer than the average person. Needless to say she is the exact strong lady we knew she was. Many wouldn't have even known, that for nearly 5 years Jayne has fought off her inevitable decline very subtly with grace, and the high standards of style we will always remember her for.
An irreplaceable hole has been left in all our hearts, but Jayne will live on as the true legend she always has been.
Nancy, Ryan, Amber, Libby & Remi.
