? a million times we've needed you, a million times we've cried, if love alone could've saved you, you would have never died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, in our hearts you hold a place no one else could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, part of us went with you the day you left home.

The world has lost a true and kind gentleman who will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched. I have many memories of John and our years at Uxbridge street we all spent together bringing our children up. The many cups of teas he made me when I visited him and Iris and not least his always ready smile .Bless you John you will stay in our hearts for ever and always remembered. love Pamx

I spent very little time with your family, but in that short few days, I came to see you as a true gentleman, a gentle and loving family man, and I know you will be missed. Kim and her sisters are lucky indeed to have had you in their lives. RIP mate.

Dear Aunty Iris and Family
We are thinking of you all at this very sad time and sending our love, prayers and best wishes. I remember our trip to England when I was twelve years old and spending time with you all. It is a very happy memory for me because I felt as though I belonged and I have never forgotten that. Please know that although the miles divide us we are with you in thought and spirit. R.I.P. Uncle John.
Love Ann, Carl, Jemma and Caitlin.

Uncle John, I remember your smile, your laughter and your gentleness from when I was just a little girl, I remember being a bridesmaid at your wedding when I was very small, and the laughter when we arrived in Scotland and found the kipper on the radiator (that was my dad, your brother in law). And then we left England, when I was 13, and I did not see you again for 38 years,
And again I can remember your smile, your laughter and your gentleness from that visit, and how the love for your family shone out of you for everyone to see. I know you will be missed.
