In loving memory of Kenneth 'Ken' Dickinson who sadly passed away on 19th March 2021 aged 73 years.
Ken will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Ken lived a fulfilled life. He was the kindest man you could ever meet. He was loving, kind caring to anyone he ever met.
Ken was born in Long eaton, attended Wilsthorpe school along with his siblings. He was an extremely clever man, with very good grades (A's and Bs) and went on to be a very good tool maker.
He lived in South Africa for many years and also lived there with his sisters, Kathy, Barbara and his brother in law Paul and niece Natasha. Out there he continued as a tool maker, and had lots of good times there.
Including going to see QUEEN live at sun city with his sister Kathy.
Ken came back to the UK in 1987 following the death of his mother.
He then met Donna in 1991 and took on her daughter Laura as his own, when she was just 3 years old.
They often went to the cobden club, for a few pints at the weekend, and played cards and Dominoes with all their friends.
Ken and Donna later split, but they remained very good friends.
He still kept in close contact with Laura throughout her life, even as an adult with her own children (his grandchildren) Katelynn, Harry and Sophia, who he absolutely loved and doted on.
He would visit them all weekly on a Thursday and a Sunday, and often had dinner together on a Thursday, his favourite with them was fish and chips (got to be cods scallops!)
He enjoyed having a few pints, in recent years mainly at the West end club - with his good friends.
He loved his sports - especially football - and Nottingham Forest was his team! Ken liked to have a bet on the horses too, although didn't always back a winner!
Ken was extremely very close to his family, and loved them all, with all of his heart. Kathy, Barbara, Paul, Natasha, Laura, Lewis and the kids.
Barbara and Kathy did alot for Ken, especially when he could no longer manage things himself.
Barbara and paul doing his shopping for him on a Saturday - and Kathy helped so much in his flat, and helping with GP appointments and District nurses etc. Laura wants to thank them all especially for their help with this.
There is a huge hole in all of our hearts now that he has gone.
He is going to be very dearly missed and loved forever.
He touched the hearts of many and sure they will miss him too.
*******WE ALL LOVE AND MISS YOU********
YOU WILL BE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
