In loving memory of Mick Large who sadly passed away on Wednesday 17th March 2021, aged 81.
He will be deeply missed by his sons Russ and Mike, who were by his side; his daughter-in-law Lyndsey and grandchildren Ruby, Flo, Lexi & Jordan, as well as the wider family and friends.
Thanks to the Medway Community Healthcare team who helped to look after him so brilliantly at home in his final weeks. The district nurses, carers and team from the Wisdom Hospice were outstanding - their support, kindness and compassion were very much appreciated.
We'd welcome any donations in Mick's memory to go to the 'Wisdom Hospice' care of:

Many thanks to everyone who came to dad's funeral - and apologies that we weren't able to accommodate everyone because of the COVID restriction on numbers at the crematorium. The sun shone from us on the day and I think he would have been looking down on us all and raising a glass to you all. And I'd also like to say your donations have been very gratefully received by the Wisdom Hospice. Here's to being able to have a proper drink to toast mum and dad in the summer when the restrictions are lifted. Russ & Mike

What a lovely service and send off you gave your dad which we watched online on Tuesday. We both have fond memories of Uncle Mick including him taking me rabbit shooting as a boy and the now infamous cesspit saga on Jill's 1st visit to Blue Bell Hill! Love to you both from Martin and Jill xx

Having moved next door to Mick & Bet just 16mths ago, sadly we saw little of Bet prior to her passing. We were more fortunate to spend some time with Mick as his health faded but, alas, it wasn't long enough. We'd have liked to have been privileged to have known him longer realising what a character he was. Our condolences to all members of the family.
We will miss you Mick. God be with you!

'Big Mick' as he was always known to me when growing up with 'Little Mick' & Russ was always up for a laugh and a joke and was like a 'second' dad to me. When you first met Mick he treated you like you had know him for years and I remember when he first met my wife how he joked that she was too good for me and that he was available if she changed her mind! He was such a character and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him but he is now be back with Bet (my second Mum). God bless you both xx
