In loving memory of Colin McAleavey-Dunne who sadly passed away on 15th March 2021.

Colin was my first and only love. We first met when we were 11 years old and the rest they say is history. He was the best father to Joshua and Jack ,taking them to golf, football, rugby and teaching them carpentry and building. He was so proud of his boys.

He was loud, loving, kind and gentle. Our hearts are broken.

God must have needed a carpenter. Rest now my love reunited with your Mum Mary.xxxx

Deepest sympathy to you Dawn, Joshua and Jack on the passing of you wonderful Husband and Dad. He was immensely proud of your achievements. No modesty there! We are deeply saddened by the injustice of it all.
John, Colette and Mike- I hope you can find solace knowing he is with Mary.
Joshua and Jack. Colin often posted on your accomplishments. He loved you both dearly. My fondest memory of Colin were his impersonations of Donald Duck and keeping us entertained at our Nan’s house in Moyvane. Take care of yourselves.
Colette

My big brother, my friend and my daughter's uncle and godfather.

This has probably been the hardest thing I have ever written.

A part of me has died when Colin went to Heaven.

Having Colin for a brother brought its own interesting shenanigans. From our summers of fun in Ireland, our days at Hewitt Farm and how could I forget how no doll was allowed to survive in our house without being christened. That involved Colin either decapitating the dolls head or pinning one to the dart board with a large dart through her head. Colin would literally be rolling around the floor in fit's of laughter as i was screaming. Even though Colin took great pleasure in winding me up, he could be incredibly compassionate.

Mum used to say you were a great helper Colin. When we were all going to school, Colin would be the first one up and was downstairs making breakfast. Colin would be making us porridge and making sure we had everything we needed.

I have our memories of years of going to Youth Camp which gave me a much need freedom.

I thought Colin was the most amazing person on the planet. I had Colin so high up on a pedestal. I thought Colin was invincible. I know he hated me saying all the mushy stuff I love you so much Colin. Grace is devastated, to lose her Uncle at 6 years old. She said she wouldn't hear Uncle Colin laughing again or hear him being silly.

You an abundance of passion and strong opinions, some of which we often disagreed on. who will I debate things with now?

You did everything with commitment and dedication. But oh my goodness did you hate to lose...!

Words cannot describe the loss we feel. You were taken too soon from your beautiful boys and wife but I know you will be watching over us all.

I know you will be with mum. Please give her a kiss from me, one from dad and one from Grace.

God bless and know how much you are loved Colin. Until we meet again. Rest well. Your loving sister Colette.

Colin was a friendy, fun, lively fella with a good heart. Could be relied on to help and volunteer for the pta or anything else. I always remember his loud laugh in the audience at the Xmas pantomime's. Would make me laugh more. Him, Dawn and the boys were a good team and my heart goes out to them R.i.p Colin.
