In loving memory of Beryl (Boo) Ann Goncalves who sadly passed away on 22nd February 2021.

Boo fought hard and long over the last few months, as many of you visiting this page will know.

Boo was born in 1942, she was a war baby born in Sulhampstead, one of six children. She grew up in Merryoak, in the family home. She worked in Bata the shoe shops which during this time she me her husband Jose, to whom she married in Lisbon, Portugal some 54 yrs ago.

She had two daughters Loraine and Lisa and she along the way had numerous honorary children who adopted her as their motherly figure.

She moved to Millbrook towers when it opened as one of the first tenants, she loved the views and the neighbours.

Boo worked at Newlands School firstly as a dinner lady then as a special education assistant and taught so many children over the years.

She did lots for charities, Parkinson diseases, Whizz kidz, Children in need to name but a few..

When she retired she didn't take things easy, she always kept busy, and lived shopping, going on trips and generally enjoying life to the full.

She then along with her husband Jose moved in with Lisa and lived the life of luxury in the garden she loved so much, with Tilli her little doggy companion.

She loved spending time with her family, her grandaughter, great grandson her siblings and friends alike, her love of life was huge. She was always up to mischief, laughing, getting into a pickle but that was Boo she loved laughter and fun even when she fell ill and was in and out of hospital, she found the funny side of it.. she made everyone laugh right till the very end.

When she fell asleep

Love you Boo xxxx

It is only in death you realize just how much you miss someone. Lisa you should be comforted that you were an incredible daughter to your mom and put her first in everything you do. I know you'll miss her terribly but I also know that you can look back on a lifetime of love and laughter you had with her. Boo may you sleep in Peace and have all the angels laughing as you share a joke or two with them.
