In loving memory of John Richard Surtees who sadly passed away on 11th March 2021.

John lived and worked in Southampton and surrounding area all his life, working in printing, until he retired. He had many interests and hobbies ranging from motor bikes and cars, to all things mechanical really.
John married Joy in 1973, and they shared many interests which they enjoyed pursuing together, including industrial archaeology, cinema & theatre architecture and seaside pleasure piers. Their extensive travels usually involved visiting these both in the UK and around the world.

John was a quiet gentle man with an easy smile, and a great laugh. He had a keen sense of humour and was alway quick to see the joke.

He is missed very much indeed.

The private Funeral is to be held at 2:30 at Wessex Vale Crematorium, Bubb Lane, West End, Southampton, SO30 2HL on Thursday 8th April.
Family flowers only. If you would like to give a donation in his memory it will be to the Stroke Association.

After working with John over many years in the printing trade, we then became independently self employed in the trade and enjoyed a wonderful association with one another for a further twenty years until we both retired. God bless and look after yourself Joy.
