Celebration of Life event for Andrew Jennings to be held at Bestwood Lodge Hotel on Andrew's birthday, Thursday 26th August 2021 from 2pm onwards.

All who knew Andrew are invited to celebrate his life and birthday and to share memories over food and drinks. We will be serving a buffet from 4pm.

The hotel is situated within Bestwood Country Park, where Andrew grew up playing and enjoyed walking in his later life. It makes for a lovely walk if anybody would like to factor this into the day.

We hope that spreading the event across the afternoon and evening will give opportunity for all of his family, friends and colleagues, especially those who were unable to attend the funeral service, to celebrate at a convenient time and hope this will allow us to celebrate safely.

Address: Best Western Bestwood Lodge Hotel, Bestwood Lodge, Country Park, Bestwood Lodge Drive, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 8HT.

Parking: The hotel car park is pay by phone, or there is a separate car park and on-street parking along Bestwood Lodge Drive, within a 5-10 minute walk.

There is also availability at the hotel should anybody be travelling and wish to stay.

Please contact Sophie at sophiejay97@gmail.com for any further information.

26th August 1964 - 28th February 2021

Andrew 'Andy', 'Jay' Jennings held such significance in the lives of so many during his lifetime. We welcome everybody who knew him to share their thoughts, memories and photos of Andrew here, where his impact will live on.

Andrew's service will take place on 7th April at 1:30pm. The service is by invitation only, but there is no doubt Andrew's service would be overflowing with support if unrestricted. We welcome attendance via weblink or to show support along the route or outside Gedling crematorium.

For those who cannot attend the service in person, we wish to invite everyone to an unrestricted memorial on Andrew's birthday, 26th August 2021.

The family welcome flowers by all, should you wish. These can be directed to AW Lymn, Arnold.

Please get in touch using the contact details below or use the messaging feature for the weblink or details of Andrew's birthday memorial.

Mr Jennings was a true gentleman and a cheeky chap who was always smiling. He always spoke about Sophie and how proud he was of her when he visited. He will be very missed by everyone that knew him and I think we should all try and live life to the full like he did. Rest in peace, Andy. All my love to Sophie and her family xxx

My thoughts are with Andy's family. I can echo all my colleagues comments regarding his professional, thoughtful, friendly and supportive approach to everyone he worked with. A true gentleman, a fantastic manager and a real asset to our department and the difficult work he was instrumental in helping us deliver. I always knew where to get a helpful answer and I'll miss him terribly.

What to put...… I can almost here Andy saying c'mon Deb get those words out. I echo everyone's words on what a great manager Andy was.
From his £1 reading glasses (many of them), to the mountain of staplers he had in his drawers and to the 'man Flu' lozenges I bought him, we always laughed.
Sophie we spoke about your travels your dad was super proud of you.
Andy you are going to be missed by so many.
Lots of love
Debbie xx

I have known Andy through work for about six years. He was always the one I went to for help when I was stuck with IT and other issues. He was always helpful, kind and patient. Just a lovely man, as everyone has said in the other comments. I will always remember him with affection.
Andy, all of his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad and difficult time. Lots of love, xxx

Andy bounced into my life like a ray of sunshine or should I say sunflower 🌻 he made an impression on me instantly and left an impression on my heart. To meet the family for the first time dressed as a sunflower took guts but we had fun and laughter from the minute he walked into nanny’s house. I will remember the good times with Andy with a huge smile on my face. He will was a kind hearted loving man who will be missed immensely. All my love Aunty JoJo
