In loving memory of Doreen Dorling who sadly passed away on 5th March 2021.
Mum to James, Samantha and Rebecca. She will leave us with only love and happy memories in our hearts.. with the odd lemon sherbet here and there too! :0) xx
Doreen or Dot (to her friends) was highly thought of as a caring person who was always ready to put others before herself.

As some of you already know, Doreen suffered from Parkinson's in the latter part of her life. Despite this holding her back from some things, we are very pleased to have been in her life to help her (where she would let us), and her grandsons saw their "Nanny Bebo" as much as possible and played with her which are memories they and others will treasure forever.

In her honour we would like to donate money towards Parkinson's UK to help others, like mum, carry on as normal a life as possible. Please donate if you can, or pass on the love by helping someone less fortunate than yourselves in some part of your lives.

She will be sadly missed, but always remembered by everyone she touched!
Rest in peace mum, until we meet again.

We are all so sad to see that Doreen has passed. It's been a long time since we moved from Hockley. But we remember you all with love. Gill, Alan, Judy (King) and Lizzy Foulkes. Thinking about you all...... I just remember the frogs. :)

I will always remember Doreen for her kindness and gentleness, for being one of the adults that you'd run to without hesitation if you grazed your knee or fell from the climbing frame (again). Who drew me a picture of a Horse Shoe Bat because of my fascination with them and to encourage me to carry on drawing, and of her warm smile. To leave someone with only memories of happiness is something we all would want to do, and she certainly did that with me. My thoughts are with James, Sam, Becky, and to those closest to her. Rest in peace.

So many fond and fun memories of Doreen, from working in the hotel together where we would often be crying with laughter, to our boating and camping holidays and all the parties and celebrations. Doreen was instrumental in us meeting each other in the first place.
A kind and lovely lady.

Remembering your mum so fondly from many years of being in and out of your house as kids, she always made us so welcome and I remember James and I were always envious of the big cupboard of treats in her kitchen!

Thinking of you all and sending all our love at this very difficult time.

Lots of love
Xxx
