John & Patricia Lillistone (Passed away 1 Feb 2021)

So sad to hear of the sad death of John Lillistone and his wife, Patricia. I worked at HMLR Coventry (01/87 - 08/92) - Debbie McGoldrick then; before attaining an internal transfer to HMLR Durham.
John was a very kind, sincere, genuinely caring man and a true professional. He was very helpful in securing my internal transfer. I remember his door was "always open" to everyone and at any time. He had a lovely smile and a gentle nature. He made the verbal introduction on our Coventry DLR Charity video when asked, without a second thought. All proceeds at that time going to those in need in Ethiopia.
My thoughts and prayers to your extended heartbroken family. To you John, and Patricia .... eternal rest and peace in each others arms. Goodnight and God bless 🙏 🕯 x x

Many memories of a lovely kind friend who I will miss so much.

Peter and I, cousins of John, were shocked by the tragic loss of John & Patricia. We have very fond memories of them both at family gatherings. Warm, gentle and kind; a joy to be in their company. Our thoughts are with their family.

John and Patricia really were the best of people. I’m sorry we couldn’t all be together today to mourn their loss and celebrate their lives, but the service was a beautiful tribute to them. My love, thoughts and prayers to James, Joanne and all the family xx

In memory of such a lovely couple and family friends, in particular I have so many happy memories of being at Diabetic Camp for so many years with Patricia where she worked tirelessly and looked after us all. My sincere condolences and thoughts go to all of the family.

John was a true gentleman. He always had a smiling welcome for everyone. So sorry I won’t see that smile once more other than in my happy memories.

Such a sad loss. I remember the good times we had through working in LIF, the Nottingham office, where John and Ernie both played for Notts Casuals, and then, much later, the Coventry office. My thoughts are with their family.
