Dear Joe,

Fond memories of being out with Helen one evening and you asked us to go over to a friend of yours and tell him to “leave our dad alone”. I don’t think he believed we were both your daughters.

Rest in peace.

Avril

Dear Dad,

Loved that you had a cool name, "Joe", and it was great when my primary class lads called me "Connor". As a young girl, you surprised and delighted me with the gift of a child's sewing machine - though I didn't see you often - you were aware that I disliked dolls/toys. Thank you for understanding me.
Dad, you were a skilled carpenter and engineer, an entertaining raconteur, had a thirst for knowledge and a lust for life.

"Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night."

Rest in Peace Dad.

Patricia

I remember all the good times we had in the 80's down in good old Peckham and the surrounding areas with Ian and Malcolm and of course, Paula. I really wish I could have seen you one more time before God called you Heaven. Rest In Peace Joe. Keep them laughing upstairs

Dear Grandad,

I remember staying with you and Paula for a few days one summer and making a bird house that survived in our garden for many years. You always had stories that made us laugh at family lunches, and I've never been caught out by Scottish slang thanks to you. Rest in peace and thank you for the memories.

Dear Grandad Connor,

Thank you for the weird and wonderful memories of Bangers and Mash tapes, Scottish Cuckoos (apparently) and a truly unforgettable Great Folk Hits of Scotland album that taught us every word from start to finish. Rest well on the Bonny Bonny Banks.

All our love,

Emma, Jess & Izzie xxx
