In loving memory of Alan William Lacey who sadly passed away on 27th February 2021 at Countess Mountbatten Hospice.
Alan was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a type of lung cancer caused by asbestos, just before Christmas 2020. He was admitted into hospital in February and then a few days later to the hospice where he died peacefully. This was very sudden and a total shock to us all as his prognosis was a year to eighteen months.
He had lived and worked around Southampton all his life as a contracting electrician and after retiring he had a passion for holidays and cruising, which took him all over the world. Closer to home he supported many of his family and friends with his DIY skills and loved his garden especially his dahlias and koi fish.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
The private Funeral is to be held at 4:00 at Wessex Vale Crematorium, Bubb Lane, West End, Southampton, SO30 2HL on Wednesday 24th March.
Any donation in his memory to Countess Mounbatten.
