Our thoughts and prayers are for Arthur himself that he may rest in peace and come to the radiance of eternity. Also for Yvonne and the family. Arthur was a valued colleague on the City Management Team and he and Yvonne were regulars at the retired chief officers lunches. We will miss him.

Executive)

Arthur was a great mentor and friend for many years. As the Youth Leader at Queensberry Baptist Church he guided us safely into adulthood. A skilled craftsman and innovator, in high office he never lost touch with the man in the street. He was a long standing supporter of the homeless through Framework and served for many years as a Magistrate. Honoured by the Queen with an OBE but remembered fondly by us as a man with a sense of humour..

Arthur was a former colleague who made a significant contribution to housing and associated services in Nottingham and the surrounding area. A much respected housing professional whose work was underpinned by strong personal values, beliefs and compassion. Beyond retirement, he maintained his commitment to the provision of good housing for people by serving in a voluntary capacity with charitable and not-for-profit housing organisations. Arthur's expertise and considerable personal qualities meant his contribution and presence always made a positive difference to any organisation he was involved with. Arthur worked altruistically and benevolently for the good of other people, the community and society.
