In loving memory of Elizabeth Grills who sadly passed away on 16th February 2021

Regrettably due to the current restrictions the funeral mass will be invite only, in different times the family would have warmly welcomed all the wider family and friends, though you are able to join us via the specially arranged webcast of Elizabeth's funeral requiem mass should you wish.
Links to the live broadcast will be shared soon.

At the age of 20, Elizabeth began a new life as a deafened person, after recovering from Meningitis. Despite the difficulties this entailed she went on to live a remarkable life, marrying a deafened person and having two hearing children.

Elizabeth died at the age of 92, her family would like you to consider making a small donation to the National Association of Deafened People instead of funeral flowers. Details of how to make a donation are above.

Every time I go over a large bridge especially in N.Y.C. I think of Aunt Lilly. When John and Graham kept going over the G.W. bridge and they would get turned around and go over it again. I think they went over it 5 times! Aunt Lilly was in the back seat of John's car and kept saying, "Boy, there sure are a lot of bridges here. I have never seen so many bridges." I loved her so much. She will be missed. Jack Michels

  • Thanks Jack lol... that really was so stressful but so funny to look back on. And your right she didn’t realise it was the same bridge. 💕 and yes it was at least 5 times!
