Loving Wife to Keith, treasured mum to Nyree and Luke and devoted Nanny to Mya, William and Eleanor.

Trish grew up with her parents Beryl and Donald and her two brothers Lesley and Gary and met her Husband Keith when she was 16. Trish very quickly became part of Keith’s family and had a lovely relationship with her in-laws Mary and Ray.

In 1976 they Married and 4 years later started a family when Nyree was born followed by Luke four years later. They both loved family life so much so that as a couple they decided to start fostering in the mid eighties and continued to welcome children into their home until around 2007. Life was very busy during this time and with a nurturing nature Trish loved being surrounded by children and even childminded after school and in the holidays.

So it goes without saying that when her grandchildren Mya (19) William (11) and Eleanor (6) were born Trish was over the moon. She loved nothing more than spending time with them and loved them all very dearly and getting together as a family was her favourite thing to do.

As well as a busy family life Trish also spent many years working for Social Services working her way up to a Managers Role of the Community Living Team which she helped to develop, supporting people with leaning disabilities to live independently in their own homes. She was made redundant from this role after many years and then went on to work for Sanctuary Housing to continue supporting people. She will be missed by many colleagues and service users and will be remembered fondly for the work she carried out.

Trish and Keith also had a love of motorbikes and travelled across the UK and Europe many times and shortly before her passing she talked about how she had recalled some of these memories of their travels and reassured her family that she’d had a good life.

Dedicating her life to her family and to her work made her very happy and she was very proud of her children, grandchildren all the children she fostered and her 44 year long happy marriage to her best friend Keith.

Taken to soon she will very missed by all her family, and the many hearts she touched and nurtured on her journey through life.

I’ve only just learned that Trisha is sadly no longer with us. I worked with Trisha briefly in 2012/13 and remember what a lovely lady she was. She would always talk of her children, husband and family with so much love and pride, including children she had fostered over the years. She was always smiling and always had time to listen to any problems or to help. Sleep peacefully Trisha x

We’re missing you more every day Trisha. Days out and weekends away just aren’t the same.
But we will keep trying to remember what you would have said and done at those times and you would have made us smile and laugh 💕

I'm saddened by the passing of Trish, I certainly have happy recollections from the early 1990's from when I first met Trish via my good school friend, Richard, of whom Trish and Keith had taken under their wing as a loving family. I have to say that every time I stayed over I was always made to feel at home in every way. I will always remember Trish for being a warm friendly and caring person and will be dearly missed.

My foster mother and father was the most important people in my world from when they collected me from a children’s hospital at the age of 12 and I’m 43 now and I will miss her so immensely that I would never say my last goodbye or give her one last kiss or even attend her funeral due to restrictions goodbye mum I love you from the bottom of my heart.

I have worked with Trish albeit not directly for a long time and was very shocked and sad to hear the news. My thoughts go out to her family.

Six years was a big age difference when I was a kid growing up in Burton, so I don't really get to know my cousin Trish until I was back with my family in 2007 and she and Keith kindly offered to let us all stay with them. Before we got there, I think Trish was as nervous as we were about how it would go, as we had not seen each for over 30 years. I was just looking through some photos from that visit and a second visit in 2014 when they were staying in a massive house in the countryside and was reminded that we shouldn’t have been nervous. Trish and Keith were so kind and warm and made us feel as welcome as if we were old friends.

It was a horrible shock to all of us to hear the sad news about Trish. Our thoughts here in Canada are with Keith, Nyree and Luke, and other family members and friends who will surely miss Trish.
