In loving memory of James (Jim) Tallintire, who sadly passed away peacefully at Lightburn Hospital on Monday 1st February 2021. A much loved husband to Jean, father to Barry and Julie, father in law to Elaine and Gavin, grandfather to Nicky, Craig, Amy (and husband Eddi), Abigail (and husband Samuel), Jessica and Charlotte and great grandfather to Pheobe.

Jim was one of three children born to John and Elizabeth Tallintire. He was well known in Glasgow’s east end as the owner of Tallintire’s Shoe Repairs in Riddrie. A committed Christian who devoted much of his life to helping others, he is now at home with the Lord Jesus Christ whom he loved.

John 10, verse 27: My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one can snatch them out of my hand.

Dear Julie and family, It is never easy to say goodbye to someone you have know all your life and so close and to whom you were devoted. As you know he has gone to be with Christ may you find comfort in the coming weeks and months.
