On 3rd February 2021, unexpectedly but peacefully at Calderdale Royal Hospital, Janet aged 76 years of Netherton passed away. Janet was the dearly loved wife of Alan, very much loved mum of Simon and Jonathan and a proud and devoted grandma of Lucy.

A private funeral service will be held at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland on Saturday 20th February with a smart dress code of either black and white or colours based on personal preference. Funeral cars will be setting off from Radcliffe's Funeral Service in Honley around 11am and picking the family up from Oldfield Road at around 11:10am before driving down Oldfield Road and past the "Fourways" residence where Janet spent many happy years with her family. Please feel free to pay your respects to Janet along the route if she touched your life at all.

Family flowers only please, which can be arranged through Hobson's of Holmfirth. Donations if wished may be given through Radcliffe Funeral Service, 16 Westgate, Honley, Holmfirth, HD9 6AA or on the day of the service, and will be given to the Huddersfield branch of Parkinson's UK. Please could you not donate online as these funds would go to Central Parkinson's UK, and as an active member of the Huddersfield branch of Parkinson's UK, Janet would have wanted funds to help her local friends if possible.

Please feel free to add your personal messages, candles and photos.

I was do sad to hear of Jan's passing. I have such fond memories from my childhood of Alan and Jan. Especially when I was a teenager and I used to stay over at your house on the hill in Netherton, when Simon and Johnathan were tiny.
I thought Janet was so beautiful and elegant.

I was blessed to have this wonderful lady as part of my family. She was like a sister to me, that I always wanted but never got until she came along. You will always be in my heart but it is time for you to ride on the clouds, swing on the stars and slide down the rainbows. Rest in peace Janet knowing that we love you and you will stay in our hearts
