Chris was always so kind and supportive of me. He made the effort to support me in shows and was always so encouraging. Such a lovely man. We will miss him terribly.

I grew up with his son, James. Chris was always welcoming and good for a chat. Into my adult life whenever I was at the house he would always ask how things were going with studies or my job. Chris was unlucky enough to be the test subject for my wedding speech on the morning of my wedding. A truly caring gentleman and a true loss to human kind. Rest In Peace

I always looked forward to a chat with Chris at the MKAS meetings or in the pub. At the meetings, my young daughter would run over to him for a natter as well. An immensely likable chap who will be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolences to Brenda and family.

Before I joined MKAS, I made contact with Chris via email back in April 2017 when I was asking if any MKAS members were going to see the Great Total Solar Eclipse in America. I got a very polite reply where wished me well in my own endeavours & not long after that joined MKAS.

Since then, I grew to really like Chris's friendly & geniune personality, combined with a witty sense of humour whenever I would buy the raffle tickets.

I just attended the funeral online & felt it was a very fitting tribute to his rich life. The closeout music of the 633 squadron music will now always remind me of Chris.

God bless you & may your spirit shine as a bright star in the heavens you so loved to adore.

I was Chris's colleague 2009-2012, even 9 years past since I left UK, but there are still a lot of warm memories related with Chris coming to my mind at the moment, his smile, his British accent teaching me English, his interesting stories, his marriage ring with Brenda, his humour , his love to his family, his wife, daughter and son, his souvenir to me after their Spanish holidays in 2011, (a few days ago just before his departure on 7 Jan 2021 and after 9 years I left UK, I happened seeing it from my bag and thinking of him. ) Now I realized maybe it's his way to say goodbye to me? 😥, he helped his (Brenda's ) uncle many years ago before their uncle passed away....Chris was servicing an ESU at workshop....he gave me a lift to my GP when one day I was sick.....a lot of clear memories in my mind related with him, he is such an impressive colleague and great person forever remembered in my heart....

We will really miss you Chris, a dear friend and neighbour. We had many a chat out the front, putting the world to rights. Looking through all the pictures it’s so hard to believe you are gone. David enjoyed the time spent working together with you at the allotment and enjoying the fruits of your labour. Your engineering skills were really put to the test sorting out the shed! You did so much to help us, always there willing to help when we needed you, keeping an eye on things for us when we weren’t there and putting up with our cat making himself at home in your house! You fought a brave fight Chris, sleep peacefully, we will never forget you.
