In loving memory of Kenneth John Barden who passed away on 4th January 2021.

Loving Husband, Dad, Father-in-Law and Grumps who will be sadly missed by all.

Richard wrote

The year has flown by, with each first being just as difficult as the last. You are missed more than you will ever know and always in our minds. The kids always scream and shout at us you are with us, whenever they see a Robin near them. Going round to the house is never the same and always a realisation, although it seems you may still be there! We are all missing you, but still knowing you are pain free helps that little bit.
Always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts Dad/Grumps

I really loved playing snap with you and having cuddles. I loved that you would always play pretend cooks with me and liked the food I made. I used to love it when you fell asleep and Oscar and me would wake you up shouting "GRUMPS" and you would wake up, shocked. You always let me have whatever I wanted and always pestered Nanny to give it to me. I miss you lots Grumps, love Evie xxxxxxxx

I miss you so much Grumps, I miss all of the playing and snuggles we did. I really liked it when you tickled me and made me laugh so much. I loved waking you up when we came round and you were sleeping, it made me laugh. I am very sad you did not get to meet Ginny, but have drawn a picture of you and Ginny together so you can take it with you to heaven. You were the best Grumps ever! Love Oscar xxxxxxxxxx

It's still so hard to believe that you are no longer here Dad; you have been amazing, not only for me with everything you have done, but also for Lauren, Evie and Oscar and this will never be forgotten. You have taught me so much in life and was there for me whenever I needed it. I could always talk to you when I needed guidance, whether it was work, personal or general DIY advice and in the later years with Mum as your ears!

Everything that we do will be a refection of how both you and Mum instilled the values and beliefs we have now, which will follow through to Evie and Oscar. You have shown us all strength when life is difficult and although I am devastated you are no longer here, I am glad that you are no longer suffering. Whatever you do, do not get in any taxi! Rest In Peace Dad and enjoy being free again

I still cant get my head around the fact that I wont get to see you again, I wont get to listen to all your amazing life stories, or see you playing with Evie and Oscar. You were the best Father in Law I could have ever asked for, thankyou for welcoming me in to the family so openly. I wont ever forget you. You were so special to us all. R.I.P All my Love Lauren xx
