In loving memory of Brian Edward Thomas Wilson who sadly passed away on 11th January 2021.

Brian was a loving, caring and devoted Husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle, friend and youth worker.
Over 44 years has worked with 100s of young people though Boys brigade. We have so many stories, from Thursday or Friday evenings, summer camps and pranks that were played, to family holidays and DIY advice. In the last few years dad had been come an avid bowler and was regularly down the local park green playing a game he loved. In the last few years had even become a little green fingered helping mum around the garden. Dad was always at the end of phone and would try to help anyone if he could. We will all dearly miss him but take great comfort in knowing he is now with his lord.

The Charities that we have listed were close to Dads heart. He would not want lots of flowers or fuss but he would love it if you were able to make a donation.

Boys brigade was close to his heart and he was an active member since he was 12yrs old, some of you reading this would have know his dedication and passion he had for the boys brigade and sharing the word of God.

His second chosen charity was Macmillan as most of you will be aware this was close to his heart since mum became unwell in 2018 with breast cancer and supported both mum and him through a very difficult time. As some of you will be aware we are still fighting the battle of secondary breast cancer with mum currently, making this charity again very close to all of us.

Dads third charity was Christian against poverty, this again was important to him having not come from the richest of backgrounds, he knew what it was like to not have a lot and wouldn’t want anyone to go with out food or shelter or support. Both him and my Mum have supported their local CAP for last few years so again this charity was special to him.

Rest in peace Dad you will be sorely missed by so many!!! But your legacy lives on in the lives of people you helped.

Please add your stories, memories and messages of our Dad Brian below and photos if you have any we would love to make a memory book with them later on.

Dearest Brian,
I will miss you in the office, I worked with you for so long. You always had a smile and offered parenting advice when I needed it for my twins. we also had lots of chats about the respective organisations; me being a Scouter, your dedication showed and the pride you had in your achievements with all "your boys" over the years. the youth organisations have lost a great friend and so have I. I enjoyed chatting with you, sharing jokes with you and just you being you. I will miss you greatly. Rest in peace, run the Company in the sky, drink lots of tea and eat lots of cake as you look down on us from your cloud. Sue
