In loving memory of Pamela Louisa Ives who sadly passed away on 26th December 2020.

Pam was born in Lambeth, within the sound of Bow Bells so a true cockney, but Welsh roots with LLewhellyn as her maiden name, before moving to North Cheam. She learnt the piano and had a love of music and could also play the accordion. When she finished school she went to secretarial college and learnt Pitman and Typing going to work for Hancock and Scots, Solicitors where she meet Dad at the age of 16. They married in 1953 and lived in Croydon moving to South Norwood where they had Graham and then moved to Rolvenden Road, where both Sue and Colin were born.

Pam was a member of the Women’s Guild, involved with Christian Aid, help set up junior church as well attending other church groups, helping with Fete’s, and other events. She also supported Ken in his roles of server and Churchwarden at All Saint's Church Frindsbury. Every year Pam would host a meal for the sacristans which they loved.
Pam spent many years running a Guide group, helping and supporting many girls through their teenage years. When she left, she received many cards of appreciation for her dedication.

Pam returned to work, working for Medway Council in their legal department until she retired.

Pam and Ken spent their retirement travelling the world including South Africa, New Zealand, Corfu and America. They also travelled throughout the UK, continuing to support All Saints church in various roles.

Pam and Ken moved to Tonbridge in 2019, into sheltered housing due to Pam's health where Pam lived until her death.

Pam leaves behind Ken Her husband, 3 children, 6 grandchildren. and 3 great grandchildren.

Dear Ken, we send our love to you and all.the family at this difficult time.
My memories of Pam are her smile, her laugh, and her (and your) kindness to me as a teenager when you both allowed me to accompany you on days out in the car, and singing songs (usually the Carpenters) in the back of the car probably to Colin's annoyance as he bad to put up with it!
I am grateful to have been allowed to be part of the family.
Our love goes out to you. Anita and Michael Payne.

We will miss Nanny and her giggles. We always enjoyed when Annabelle pranced around on FaceTime doing all the filters as Nanny could have watched her for hours! So glad she got to have some time with Annabelle and to enjoy her too. Sending lots of love.x

Difficult to know what to say on a website about the loss of my dear mum. My memories will live on for ever and will always be cherished. She was a strong determined lady and I am proud to have been her son. She often referred to herself as “little and good” and in my eyes that is what she will always be.

Love you and miss you mum.

Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions we are limited to 20 people for mum’s funeral at All Saints. We have therefore had to limit attendance to the immediate family. We are planning a memorial service at All Saints Frindsbury when conditions allow and we will post details here when available.

Thank you all for your kind words and memories. We really do value you sharing on this site.

Best wishes

Colin

Hi Ken
With deepest sympathy to you and all your family, I still have happy memories of our trips out together.
Since attendance at funerals is restricted to 30 by the lockdown I am not currently planning to be there to leave space, I hope this is OK
Love and best wishes
Alan
