In loving memory of Victor Alan Laut who sadly passed away on 5th January 2021

Sadly we lost our dear Dad at the amazing age of 92.
He was a much loved father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed.
Dad was born in Downham, Kent and was the second of seven children.
He did national service in the RAF and was posted to Martlesham Heath, Suffolk.
Dad met our mum Freda and they married on his 22nd birthday.
After leaving the RAF he worked at South Weald airdrome and Mays in Romford before starting his own vehicle repair business, Romford Panelcraft, where he worked until retirement.
Dad was very proud to be a member of Ilford Castle Lodge and he became Master of the Lodge.
He was very proud of his family, granddaughters and great grandchildren and was a huge support to us all. He was the person people turned to and was always willing to help.
Sadly our Mum suffered with Alzheimer’s disease and Dad did a wonderful job of taking care of her at home through this very difficult time during the last years of her life.
After Mum passed away Dad became an active member of the Hadleigh Church Carpet Bowls club and he continued to enjoy holidays abroad with us.
Due to a fall in 2017 Dad broke his hip and unfortunately he lost his independence. He became a resident of Mountdale Nursing Home in Leigh on Sea where he spent his final years well cared for.
We realise that there will be many people unable to attend the funeral. We have therefore arranged a live Webcast where you are able to watch online via your computer or mobile device.

Please be aware this is a public building and the timing of the Live webcast is semi-automated to allow for services running early or late – please use your discretion if you can see activities not applicable to the service you are here to watch. Once the service has finished, it will take us up to 3 working days to get the 28-day Watch Again onto the website.
Flowers are welcome. Please send to Stibbards & Sons, Hadleigh, Essex. However, if you wish to make a donation to the RAF Association this will be greatly appreciated.
