Dear Una and family, we were very sorry to learn of Ted’s passing. I have very happy memories of the times we spent together so many years ago. I was glad to be able to join his funeral Mass. it was a lovely, fitting tribute to Ted. May his gentle soul Rest In Peace. Remembering you all in my thoughts and prayers. Love Kathleen

Reposing at AW Lymn Chapel of Rest Ilkeston Wednesday 27 January 10am-4pm. Maximum two in attendance by prior arrangement. Funeral Mass at 11am Thursday 28 January at Our Lady and St Thomas of Hereford, Nottingham Road, Ilkeston at followed by internment in Stanton by Dale Parish. Participants are limited due to the current restrictions. Please contact a family member or Lymn for details of live streaming of service.

What do you say about someone who made your family life better just because he was there. Ted welcomed me into his family and home as he did with many people. He always tried to include everyone in family times and I especially remember that for me in the beginning in 1985 as I was quite new to hearing all of the Cassidy family stories. Ted was a wonderful man with a kind heart and nature and adored his family and had many long term friends. You could always see how proud he was sharing family times with his children and grandchildren just by looking at his face. His cheeky sense of humour will always be remembered especially when he tried to get the grandchildren to do things for laughs and he would giggle in the background. His cheeky little smirk has been inherited by many of the family and it is a picture that I will hold in my heart forever. RIP Grandad Ted and the best father in law a girl could wish for XXXXX
