Sincere condolences to all the family on their loss.

Alan was a lovely companion to my Mum, Jane, with whom he shared adventurous holidays, days ‘out and about’ and a love of Bridge playing. They kept each other laughing too, which was always a joy to see.

Alan also helped introduce Jack to golf, igniting a passion for the game, and, though Alan no longer played himself, we have wonderful memories of him walking the course alongside Jack and Colin and enjoying celebration/commiseration meals together afterwards where there would be much discussion on the game!

Alan was a truly lovely man and we will all miss him.
RIP Alan. A true gentleman.

With love from Melanie, Colin, Molly and Jack.
