In loving memory of Patricia Olive Oakeshott, who sadly passed away peacefully in her sleep on the 11th of January 2021, aged 90 years.

Born in Oldham, Lancashire, Pat trained as a nurse and spent most of her adult life in North Kent. Following the death of her husband, Pat dedicated herself to the well-being of the citizens of Higham and Gravesend and was appointed Mayor of the Borough of Gravesham in 2007. She worked tirelessly for the good of the community in both her civic duties and her many charitable interests.

Loving wife of Capt. Arthur Oakeshott (deceased), caring mother and grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated public servant.

Donations for "ellenor" may be sent by cheque made payable to the charity c/o Lewis Solomon Funeral Service, or on-line via this page.

Pat was a kind and generous friend of Gravesham & Dartford Phab Club and for lots of other people and charities for many years. The beautiful display of flowers in Chalk Church for our daughter's wedding in 1999 was fantastic and talked about for a long time afterwards. Thank you for so much Pat.

Pat arranged flowers at Chalk Church, ran flower festivals and helped with other fund-raising initiatives for us. My sadness to hear the news about her passing is tempered by the fact that her passing was peaceful, that she had reflected on the deep issues of life and faith, and by the knowledge that she achieved so much in her life. She enjoyed life, but she was always trying to find ways to help others. She was a rare person, someone who combined real kindness with a determination and ability to get things done. Pat brought, through her personality and drive, a kind of positivity and sparkle into the lives of many people. She will not be forgotten by any who knew her.
