Brenda & David would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for the wonderful flowers and donations and kind messages in the great loss of Carl.
Carl would have been proud of the turnout for him at his funeral and all on the hottest day (phew).
Thank you all once again.
Brenda & David

Carl remember the day you wanted your chest waxed? I had told you that it would really hurt, but you was adamant that you wanted it done. So, one Sunday you came round with Julie not sure if your mum and David were with us. We went upstairs and I started to wax you. Every strip I took off you screamed and told me to turn the music up so nobody down stairs would hear you. in the evening you texted me and said that it bloody hurt and you would never have it done again and that you looked like a 12 yr boy. It made me laugh so much. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. Xx

Carl and I plus a couple of other lads used to frequent the Hungary Fox in Hempstead back in the early 90's. Carl decided that the name of the pub needed changing. I think he thought it made it sound more up market than it actually was. So he decided to dumb it down a tad. The name he came up with?
The Randy Chicken! So from that day on it always was (and always will be to me) The Randy Chicken.

I also remember going round to Fir Tree Grove to pick him up one evening (probably going to the Randy Chicken). As normal he wasn't ready although I was on time. His Mum let me in and told me to go upstairs to find him. He was stood in front of the bathroom mirror sodding around with his hair. He didn't say hello all he said whilst looking at himself
"Someone told me the other day that I look a bit like James Dean, what do think?"
I said "Yea maybe a little"
"Really?"
"Yea, After the crash"
"Cheers Rich" Flicked me the bird and went downstairs. Maybe I was a tad harsh, lol.
So If you find yourself driving through Hempstead, past the Hungary Fox. Think of Carl and think 'The Randy Chicken'.
