In loving memory of Anne Sheila Hosburn who sadly passed away on 5th January 2021

Anne had been ill for a number of years, having been diagnosed with breast cancer. After a small operation she underwent intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy and was recovering well. In May 2020 Anne was rushed in to hospital after collapsing at home, after a number of tests she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent surgery, which resulted in further complications. Anne spent a few weeks recovering in Bristol, she was moved to Bath and continued her recovery in Chippenham Community hospital. Anne returned home at the end of November and spent her last few weeks being cared for at home.

Anne was an amazing lady, full of life, determined and caring. She was passionate about bringing her family and friends together on a regular basis, from a small family gathering to a summer party in the garden.

She loved playing tennis with her friends on a weekly basis and enjoyed watching Wimbledon.

Anne was a sun worshiper and enjoyed travelling, her annual trip to Spain with her friends was something she looked forward to every year.

Anne leaves behind 4 children, Clare, Emma, Rachel and Oliver as well as loving and loyal family and friends.

Anne will leave a big hole in many people's lives and hearts and will be hugely missed.

Thank you for all the lovely memories of fun throughout both our lives, which continued throughout your health problems of the last 5 years or so. You were so positive and a fighter and an inspiration to everyone. I'll miss you as a friend as well as a cousin and will always think of Cherhill and Calne as a second home.

Anne was my godmother. I will forever remember the trips to Durdle Door when I was a child, and then years later with my own children the get togethers in the summer. You will be missed.

When I moved to Cherhill in 1977 I thought - what a great Village, everyone so friendly the perfect place to raise a family.when I meet Anne I was welcomed with open arms and she introduced me to so many it was great.
A group of us started the play school.
Anne was so great to be with and never a dull moment, always plans in the pipeline for whatever was next to be put into motion.
The fun with Anne in my life started all those years ago,and it never ended.
All the great times when our children were young, followed by all our social get togethers once the little ones were grown. The holidays, afternoon teas, cinema, theatre, dancing, and relaxing times at open gardens with tea and cake.so much more I'm full with wonderful memories.
I'm blessed to of had such a friend in my life,Dearest Anne ❤️ greatly missed,in my heart forever, never forgotten.

I have known Anne since coming to the village in 1975. We were involved in the Playgroup and our children were brought up together. Since then we played tennis together every week until Anne was forced to stop a few years ago. She has been a very loyal friend and I shall miss her.

Here is a photo of Anne at our wedding in 2010. I have fond memories of Anne looking after me as a child and since then she also helped me with my own children. Anne will be sorely missed by many. Our thoughts are with you at the difficult time.
